Senior Corporate Counsel

Eldorado Gold Corporation, a publicly traded Canadian gold and base metals producer with mining, development and exploration operations across multiple jurisdictions, is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join its high-performing legal team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic, international business with active operations in Quebec, Türkiye, and Greece and corporate office presence in Vancouver, BC and the Netherlands. If you bring a strong foundation in securities law, disclosure obligations, and complex corporate transactions, this is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic, cross-functional legal role with international reach.

Reporting to the Vice President, Legal, the  Senior Corporate Counsel will act as a trusted internal advisor across Eldorado’s corporate and operational functions. You will manage continuous disclosure obligations under Canadian securities law and stock exchange requirements, and review, draft and coordinate annual and quarterly filings, management information circulars, press releases, investor presentations, and participate in ESG and sustainability disclosures. You will also play an integral role on cross-functional teams advising on technical reporting under National Instrument 43-101, working closely with internal stakeholders to uphold rigorous disclosure and governance standards.

Your role will also extend to supporting commercial transactions led by the corporate development and exploration teams, including joint ventures, earn-in agreements, acquisitions, and confidentiality agreements. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives such as M&A, securities offerings, corporate and/or project financings, and credit facilities.   The role also includes advising on equity-based compensation plans, supporting executive compensation disclosure, and partnering with the Corporate Secretary on governance and board-related matters. As a member of the global legal team, you will participate in ethics and compliance initiatives and provide guidance on legal risk and contract management.

The ideal candidate will bring four to nine years of experience, ideally gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house environment. You have demonstrable expertise in Canadian securities law, corporate governance, and commercial contracting, and are experienced in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions. Experience in the mining or natural resources sector is considered a strong asset. You are a member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia and possess strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills. The role includes periodic travel to Eldorado’s locations in Québec, Türkiye, Greece, and the Netherlands.
