Eldorado Gold Corporation, a publicly traded Canadian gold and base metals producer with mining, development and exploration operations across multiple jurisdictions, is seeking a Director, Legal to join its high-performing team. In this role, you will gain significant exposure to a dynamic international business with active operations in Quebec, Saskatchewan, Türkiye and Greece and corporate office presence in both Vancouver, BC and the Netherlands. If you are a hands-on, commercially minded lawyer who likes being close to the business, this is a chance to own the day-to-day legal support of the company’s mining operations and commercial activities across Canada and serve as a key strategic partner for the General Counsel.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Legal and General Counsel, you will work closely with operational leadership in Saskatchewan and Quebec, providing direct support on day-to-day business challenges while maintaining strategic oversight of legal and commercial risk. You will also work with the Legal team responsible for capital markets as well as the Corporate Secretary team, and will provide legal support for transactions and other major corporate projects when and as required.

You bring at least ten or more years of post-call experience, ideally combining experience at a top-tier law firm and significant in-house experience. You have demonstrable expertise across operational legal matters, commercial contracting and negotiations, supplier and contractor management, litigation and dispute resolution, employment and privacy law, and multi-jurisdictional legal risk management. Experience in the mining or natural resources sector is considered a strong asset.

You are a member in good standing with a recognized Canadian law society and possess strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.

You are comfortable with periodic travel to Eldorado’s locations in Saskatchewan, Quebec, Türkiye, Greece, and the Netherlands. If you are based remotely, you are also expected to travel to the head office in Vancouver as needed.
