  • Keep an accurate bring-forward system and calendar of limitation dates, court dates and key deadlines
  • Open, organize, maintain and close electronic files
  • Manage the billing cycle, including reviewing WIP, preparing pre-bills and draft accounts, and finalizing invoices
  • Liaise with outside vendors to arrange out-of-town hearings and trials, staff events, and client and colleague gifts
  • Help other lawyers and support staff meet deadlines as a team when needed
  • Share general office duties with the rest of the admin team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of civil litigation experience; corporate/commercial litigation experience is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules, litigation deadlines and bring-forward systems
  • Hands-on experience with CSO filings, books of authorities, and corporate and land title searches
