Our client, a respected U.S. law firm with a growing presence in the Canadian market, is seeking a seasoned trademark lawyer to join its Toronto office. The successful candidate will support cross-border trademark matters and help manage the Canadian aspects of trademark portfolios, including advising multinational clients on brand strategy, protection, and enforcement.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a highly collaborative global IP team that acts for several Fortune 500 companies. You’ll contribute to the development and execution of trademark strategies tailored to the Canadian market, advise on clearance and filing matters, oversee prosecution and portfolio management, and support enforcement efforts in coordination with international counsel.

Qualifications

• At least six years of trademark experience
• Registered Canadian Trademark Agent
• Experience advising on Canadian clearance, registration, and enforcement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable delivering practical, business-focused advice in a fast-paced environment
