A publicly listed Canadian mining company with operations focused in Saskatchewan is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its Saskatoon office. The legal team is approachable, embedded across the business, and plays an active role in company-wide operations. Reporting to the Director, Legal, this role supports day-to-day legal administrative operations with a particular emphasis on records management, contract administration, and document workflow.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing legal tasks to maintain an organized and efficient workflow
- Maintain and update an electronic document library and records management system; support information retrieval and archive searches
- Review, revise, and circulate contracts and legal documents for signature
- Support contract management and drafting using Microsoft Office Suite
- Assist with minute-taking, including reviewing and verifying data generated by automated tools
- Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence, agreements, meeting minutes, and general documents
- Perform general corporate maintenance activities, including maintaining corporate and extra-provincial registrations
- Maintain and update corporate records, including minute books and material contracts
- Assist with preparation of corporate and closing documents for financings and acquisitions
- Support corporate due diligence and document compilation
- Manage physical and electronic document filing systems
Qualifications
- Completion of a Legal Assistant diploma, certificate, or equivalent program
- Up to 2–3 years of legal administrative or office experience; in-house or corporate experience is an asset
- Familiarity with basic legal concepts, principles, and terminology
- Experience with corporate and/or securities matters is preferred but not required
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable speaking up and engaging openly with a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn new software and document management systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 plus bonus and equity
