Dentons Canada LLP, the world’s largest global law firm, is seeking a talented associate to join its market-leading Corporate Commercial, Capital Markets, and Securities group in Calgary. This is an opportunity for a motivated lawyer who wants to develop their practice in a high-profile, international platform and develop their project management and leadership skills, all while working on sophisticated corporate and transactional mandates in Western Canada.

As part of Dentons’ strong and growing Calgary team, you will work with a diverse client base that includes issuers, underwriters, private equity funds, and multinational corporations. You will gain hands-on experience advising on public and private financings, securities offerings, M&A transactions, corporate governance, joint ventures, and general corporate commercial matters. The practice is fast-paced and dynamic, with opportunities to work across sectors including energy, technology, mining, and financial services.

The ideal candidate will have three to seven years of experience with top-tier training in corporate/commercial, securities, and capital markets law, strong leadership skills, and a keen interest in building a sophisticated transactional practice. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication and client service skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Prior experience in securities matters, stock exchange compliance, or energy sector transactions will be considered an asset.
