Our client, Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan (CIC) is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Crown Services Division, a core team responsible for providing expert legal, HR, and governance services to CIC and Saskatchewan’s commercial Crown corporations.
Reporting to the General Counsel, this role offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated legal matters that support major public sector initiatives and operational priorities. You will advise CIC and its subsidiaries on commercial transactions, procurement, contract negotiation and management, legislative interpretation, and corporate governance. From drafting and reviewing legal documents to monitoring regulatory developments and contributing to policy strategy, you’ll be a key legal advisor across a broad range of issues.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and highly respected team that values trust, excellence, and leadership. Your stakeholders will include senior executives, Crown Boards, and various internal departments — allowing you to operate at both strategic and operational levels within the organization.
To thrive in this role, you bring a minimum of five years’ post-call experience in a private practice, in-house, or public sector legal environment. Strong analytical skills, professionalism, and adaptability are essential.
