The company is currently seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its team in Vancouver,
reporting directly to the Vice President and Chief Legal Officer.
Responsibilities span the full spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including
drafting and negotiating a broad range of contracts, advising on corporate finance,
commercial real estate, and M&A transactions, and leading negotiations with third
parties.

The role also includes managing litigation strategy and external counsel, developing
and maintaining corporate policies and compliance frameworks, overseeing corporate
and partnership records, and acting as a go-to resource for novel or complex legal
issues across jurisdictions. Beyond the core legal mandate, this position offers the
opportunity to contribute directly to business development and the company continued
growth.

Belkorp is seeking a candidate with seven to ten years of corporate and commercial
experience, ideally gained at a recognized law firm or through a combination of law firm
and in-house experience, along with a law degree and admission to the bar in Canada
or the United States; prior experience in commercial real estate is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate brings sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a
practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal advice, paired with the interpersonal skills
needed to build cooperative relationships across business units, outside counsel, and
senior leadership. Comfort voicing and defending independent opinions, combined with
a collaborative attitude and genuine willingness to learn, will be key to success in this
role.
