Salary: $70,000 – $100,000

A well-established boutique litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Clerk to join its growing commercial litigation practice. The firm handles complex commercial and franchise disputes and arbitrations across multiple provinces and is known for its high procedural standards and disciplined approach to digital evidence management.

This is a senior-level role with direct exposure to the Principal and associates. The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the procedural and evidentiary management of active files and play a key role in keeping matters organized, compliant, and moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation procedures across Ontario, with exposure to BC and Alberta court rules
• Oversee complex filings and maintain all procedural calendars and litigation timetables
• Lead the e-discovery process, including identification, collection, organization, and production of electronic evidence
• Manage document metadata and prepare electronic briefs for motions, applications, trials, arbitrations, and appeals
• Draft pleadings, lists of documents, and bills of costs with minimal supervision
• Ensure strict compliance with court deadlines and internal milestones

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Litigation Clerk, ideally within commercial lit or franchise disputes
• Strong command of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure; ability to adapt to other jurisdictions
• Practical experience managing the full e-discovery lifecycle
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Word (including complex formatting)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and file management discipline
• Law Clerk diploma or ILCO certification preferred
